Mackinnon Bruce International is partnered with a global Contract Research Organisation to hire a Vice President of Oncology (global) based in the United States or Canada.

The Client:

Our client is a Mid-Sized Global Full-Service CRO that provides a wide range of services to Pharma & Biotech industries. They support companies across the Drug Development process including clinical trial management, project management, data management, regulatory consulting, and more. Their expertise spans a wide range of therapeutic areas, including oncology, cardiovascular diseases, neurology, infectious diseases, and more. Due to the high concentration of studies in the Oncology space, they are now seeking a strategic leader to enhance their vision & drive operational excellence for the Oncology division, and help our client become the go-to CRO for Mid-Sized Biotechs within Oncology.

The Role:

Are you ready to step into a newly created position and be the one to devise & implement a 3 to 5 to 10-year global strategy for our client’s Oncology division? 

This role is a highly visible position within the organisation, the Vice President plays a crucial role in guiding and shaping the strategic direction and operational excellence of the company's clinical trials in oncology and hematology. This includes leading initiatives that establish industry standards, driving global expansion in key therapeutic areas such as gene therapy research, boosting regional sales opportunities, and aligning global project strategies to meet the company’s growth and profitability goals. The role encompasses overseeing departmental operations, providing leadership and mentorship, and advocating for the adoption of best practices. By collaborating with department leaders worldwide, the Vice President ensures unified efforts that contribute to the company's overall success of the division.

Qualifications:

  1. BS, BA, or MS, MA required in relevant discipline in life sciences or related field.
  2. 15+ years experience in a global CRO
  3. 10+ years experience in Oncology, experience in Cell & Gene Therapy a strong plus.
  4. Strong background in Clinical Research, Operations, Clinical Drug Development, Project Management & Business Development.
  5. Experience in developing and leading business and operational strategies in the CRO industry, specifically within oncology.
  6. Effective Communicator, able to influence internal stakeholders across all functions and geographies
