Description

Vice President of Sales & Marketing – Packaging Machinery | United States (Remote)

A leading North American OEM in packaging automation is seeking a Vice President of Sales & Marketing to lead its commercial organization across the U.S. and Canada. This role represents a rare opportunity to join one of the industry’s most respected names in secondary and end-of-line automation, supplying fully integrated systems to global food, snack, and consumer-goods producers.

With a heritage of innovation and precision engineering, this business designs and manufactures high-performance packaging solutions, from flexible product handling and pick-and-place gantries to fully turnkey line integrations.

The Role

The Vice President of Sales & Marketing will lead all commercial activity across North America & Canada, overseeing a multi-disciplinary team spanning: Regional Sales Managers (U.S. & Canada), Applications Engineering, Marketing & Communications

Reporting directly to the CEO, this role is responsible for driving strategic growth, customer engagement, and market positioning across food, snack, and CPG verticals. You’ll be instrumental in shaping commercial culture, leading from the front, inspiring teams, and strengthening relationships with the company’s Top 25 key accounts, including leading CPG manufacturers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high-performing commercial organization with clear direction, accountability, and shared goals.
  • Partner closely with engineering and project execution to align sales with delivery capability.
  • Personally engage key customers, spending time on site, understanding equipment, and fostering long-term partnerships.
  • Refine and execute strategic sales plans to achieve annual revenue targets.
  • Oversee all marketing initiatives, from trade shows and digital strategy to market analysis and brand communications.
  • Promote a culture of the “Three H’s” — Heart, Humble, and Hungry — driving teamwork, authenticity, and initiative.

The Ideal Candidate

  • 10+ years’ experience in capital equipment sales within packaging machinery, automation, or process equipment.
  • Proven success leading regional or national sales teams.
  • A technical mindset, someone who thrives in the equipment, understands machinery, and enjoys being close to operations.
  • Charismatic, motivational leadership style: able to unite teams and win hearts across sales, engineering, and service.
  • Entrepreneurial approach; not overly corporate, but driven by accountability, results, and continuous improvement.
  • Willingness to travel 50% (heavily in the first 6 months) across the U.S. and Canada.

Why Join

This is a pivotal role in a growth-focused, privately held OEM with a strong technical reputation and collaborative leadership. The successful candidate will join a business poised for continued expansion, backed by world-class engineering and an exceptional customer base.
