The Client: Our client is a leading independent power producer (IPP) developing, owning, and operating large-scale renewable energy projects across the United States. With a multi-gigawatt pipeline and strong financial backing, they are positioned for significant growth in the clean energy sector.
Location: Remote
The Role: The Vice President of Finance will be a key leader responsible for financial strategy, planning, and reporting within a rapidly growing renewable energy company. This individual will oversee accounting, tax, financial planning & analysis, and reporting functions, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and financial integrity. The role requires strong leadership capabilities, a track record of process transformation, and experience managing complex financial structures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a high-performing accounting and FP&A team.
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Manage financial reporting and compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Implement process improvements to support the company’s rapid expansion.
- Partner with senior leadership on strategic financial initiatives.
- Oversee accounting for subsidiaries, partnerships, and joint ventures.
- Manage external tax and audit relationships.
Minimum Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in finance and accounting, preferably in capital-intensive industries such as renewable energy.
- Strong background in financial reporting, FP&A, and accounting operations.
- Experience managing complex consolidations and financial structures.
- Knowledge of US GAAP and familiarity with ERP/FP&A systems
- Proven ability to drive financial process transformation and scale accounting functions.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical, and leadership skills.
