Our client is a leading IPP that is developing, owning, and operating renewable energy plants across North America. They have a multi-GW pipeline with strong financial backing. This company is one of the market leaders in distributed generation.

New York City (Hybrid)
The Role:
The Senior Associate will support and execute financing arrangements, including tax equity partnerships, for renewable energy projects. This role requires proficiency in financial modeling and relationship management with key investor contacts. The Senior Associate will aid in executing multi-year financing strategies, performing due diligence, and facilitating transactions in partnership with internal teams, including M&A and Business Development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic support to the Project Finance team in sourcing and executing tax equity, debt, and other financing opportunities.
- Collaborate with senior leadership on financing strategies aligned with organisational goals.
- Conducted in-depth financial analysis and developed models for project evaluations.
- Assist with transaction documentation and lead due diligence processes.
- Partner with internal teams on acquisitions, power purchase agreement (PPA) negotiations, and project developments.
- Prepare investor materials and manage data room contents for stakeholder review.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, or Economics.
- 4-6 years of experience in finance within the renewable energy sector, with familiarity in project finance or tax equity preferred.
- Strong analytical and modeling capabilities.
- Knowledge of tax equity structures and renewable energy financial incentives is a plus.
