Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and driven Sales Engineer to grow distribution and OEM sales across the Midwest. This role focuses on managing and expanding the existing distributor network, identifying new partners, and implementing sales strategies that increase market share and enhance customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow indirect sales channels (distributors) and OEM accounts within the assigned territory.
- Evaluate and improve the performance of current channel partners through joint sales calls, training, and ongoing support.
- Identify, qualify, and onboard new distributors to meet aggressive sales targets.
- Support distributor personnel to become self-sufficient in presenting, quoting, and promoting industrial pump products.
- Maintain detailed CRM records and provide insights on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activity.
- Collaborate with Market Managers to expand distribution reach and deliver tailored training and sales strategies.
- Travel within the region up to 70%, including overnight trips.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of sales experience in industrial pumps or related rotating equipment.
- Proven success with distribution sales models and OEM sales cycles.
- Strong relationship-building skills, able to work independently and maintain long-term partnerships.
- Organized, analytical, and proactive, with solid CRM and reporting discipline.
Territory
The Midwest region, including: North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio.
