Position Summary

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) for the Central States Territory is responsible for generating sales growth, strengthening customer relationships, and identifying new business opportunities across the assigned region. This role includes executing strategic sales initiatives, managing both direct and distribution accounts, and working cross-functionally to support exceptional customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a regional sales strategy to meet or exceed revenue objectives.
  • Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities across the Central States Territory (e.g., Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana).
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and channel partners.
  • Conduct on-site customer visits, product presentations, and demonstrations to support growth.
  • Provide reliable sales forecasting, competitive insights, and market intelligence to leadership.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product management, and customer service teams to address customer needs and resolve issues.
  • Lead, mentor, and support sales representatives or independent agents, as applicable.
  • Represent the organization at trade shows, industry events, and regional conferences.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of successful sales experience, including 3+ years in pump sales (industrial, commercial, or municipal).
  • Demonstrated history of achieving sales goals within a multi-state sales territory.
  • Strong understanding of pump technologies, applications, and industry trends.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation capabilities.
  • Ability to travel up to 60% throughout the region.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Dynamics 365 preferred).
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and strong in time-management.
