Position Summary
As a Regional Sales Manager, you will be at the forefront of driving sales growth and exceeding annual targets within your designated territory. You will play a crucial role in collaborating with distributors at all levels and working across various internal functional areas. Your responsibilities will encompass coordinating regional sales functions, meeting order goals, establishing distribution programs, and leveraging business planning tools to foster growth.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Revenue Management:
- Achieve or surpass sales revenue forecasts in collaboration with the VP of Sales.
- Partner with distributor teams to set annual goals and ensure accountability through regular business reviews.
- Monitor and support new business opportunities through key customer visits.
Opportunity Tracking and CRM Management:
Capture and analyse detailed information in the CRM regarding market share and new business opportunities.
Channel Expansion:
Develop and execute strategies to expand market, customer, and geographic coverage.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Conduct joint sales calls with distributor sales personnel to strengthen key customer relationships.
Distributor Engagement:
Build and maintain strong relationships with distributor personnel from senior leadership to field sales staff.
Project Management:
Oversee project activities, including product offerings, pricing strategies, and sales tactics.
Strategic Account Management:
Enhance penetration of strategic accounts, coordinating with internal resources to secure orders.
Competitive Strategy Development:
Formulate strategies to increase market share and penetration at targeted accounts.
Pricing Coordination:
Collaborate with factory engineering and finance teams to develop pricing proposals.
Forecasting and Inventory Management:
Facilitate annual and monthly revenue forecasts for distributor partners.
Product Launch Support:
Assist in executing new product launch programs through regional channel partners.
Market Intelligence:
Provide insights on new product ideas, market trends, and competitive intelligence.
What We’re Looking For
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Engineering, or Industrial Technology preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of related sales experience in technical sales and channel management.
- Experience in fluid handling or process engineering is a plus.
Skills:
- Proven sales negotiation and distribution management experience.
- Strong formal presentation skills and comfort in both individual and group selling settings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
