Description

Our client is Europe’s market leader in the construction of utility solar PV plants. Based in Sofia (Bulgaria) and Munich (Germany), the company currently employs over 1,500 people. With more than 630 solar power plants and over 10 GWp capacity built, our client is now expanding their team in Munich, Germany - looking for a Payroll Specialist.


Key Responsibilities

  • Process payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with German labour laws (experience with DATEV is a plus);
  • Prepare and file monthly payroll obligations, including social security and tax reporting;
  • Communicate with tax authorities, handle tax registrations for foreign employees working in Germany;
  • Act as the main point of contact for auditors, tax authorities, and internal stakeholders;
  • Stay updated on challenging payroll topics, such as double taxation agreements and employee benefits;
  • Support the HR, Tax, and Finance teams with payroll-related questions and compliance topics;
  • Communicate effectively in German and English (Bulgarian is a plus).


Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of German payroll laws and best practices;
  • Experience with DATEV payroll software is a plus;
  • Ability to handle complex payroll issues and adapt to changing regulations;
  • Understanding of double taxation agreements and international payroll tax implications;
  • Fluency in German and English (Bulgarian is a plus);
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills;
  • Experience working with auditors and tax authorities, including tax registrations for foreign employees.
