Our Client:
Mackinnon Bruce International is retained by a dynamic and fast-growing global life sciences organisation that is seeking an experienced and strategic Global General Manager to lead its Medical Business Unit, with a focus on MedTech Capital equipment and consumables. This is a high-impact role with full P&L responsibility and a mandate to drive international commercial success. The position can be based in Singapore or China with extensive travel across the globe.
The role:
Reporting to the Group CEO, you will lead the global commercial strategy for the Medical BU, steering business growth through strategic planning, market expansion, and high-performing teams across multiple regions. This is a unique opportunity to influence product innovation and shape the direction of a global brand at the intersection of science and healthcare.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Define and execute global BU strategy in alignment with corporate goals.
- Commercial Management: Drive revenue growth, margin performance, and market share across international markets.
- Team Building: Lead and scale high-performing commercial teams, developing talent and instilling a performance-driven culture.
- Market Expansion: Enhance go-to-market approaches, combining distributor channels with direct sales initiatives in key territories.
- Product Development: Collaborate with R&D and marketing to align product offerings with market needs and commercial potential.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with regulatory, supply chain, service, and manufacturing functions to ensure delivery excellence.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, or related discipline; MBA preferred.
- 10–15 years of experience in the MedTech, with at least 5 years in a global or regional leadership role.
- Strong commercial track record, including sales management, business development, and P&L responsibility on a regional/international remit. Minimum previous responsibility for $ 30 million revenue.
- In-depth understanding of the global Healthcare ecosystem, including key markets and customer segments.
- Exceptional leadership, execution, and communication skills.
- A hands-on, results-driven style, with the ability to lead both strategically and operationally.
