Sales Account Manager – Northeast US & Canada

(Food & Beverage Packaging Equipment – Full Lines & Turnkey Solutions)

Location: Flexible within the US or Canada — ideally near a major international airport.

Travel: ~50% (mainly domestic)


The Opportunity

A global leader in packaging and processing technology is seeking a Sales Account Manager to take ownership of a high-value territory across the Northeast United States & Canada.


This is a strategic, customer-facing role managing key beverage accounts (water, soft drinks, dairy, etc.) and selling full packaging lines and new equipment solutions across an established customer base, including major bottlers and independent producers.


The role offers autonomy, a strong pipeline of existing customers, and the opportunity to work on multimillion-dollar capital projects within one of the industry’s most respected organisations.


Territory Coverage

You will manage a defined territory covering:

Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania + Canada.


What You’ll Be Doing

Account Management & Growth

  • Manage and grow relationships with major beverage producers across the Northeast & Canada.
  • Drive proactive, solution-based selling into an established customer base (primarily “farming” with selective new-business development).
  • Execute the full sales cycle for new equipment and full-line projects — from initial discussions through to customer acceptance.

Sales Strategy & Project Execution

  • Build territory sales strategies aligned with global commercial objectives.
  • Prioritise commercial opportunities, prepare proposals, and coordinate with technical teams.
  • Forecast accurately and maintain a healthy project pipeline.
  • Support internal communication to ensure smooth project delivery and customer satisfaction.

Market Intelligence

  • Monitor competitor activity, pricing benchmarks, and regional trends.
  • Contribute insights to help shape commercial strategy.


The Ideal Candidate

Background & Experience

  • 5–10 years of experience in technical sales, account management, or capital equipment.
  • Strong preference for candidates from packaging machineryprocessing equipment, or beverage/food production equipment.
  • Experience with turnkey solutionsfillingblowmouldingpalletisingcappinglabelling, or equivalent technologies is a major plus.


Skills & Competencies

  • Strong technical aptitude — able to understand and sell complex machinery and full-line solutions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and project coordination skills.
  • Experience working with large, multinational customers.
  • Comfortable managing multimillion-dollar sales cycles.
  • Results-driven, analytical, and proactive in customer outreach.


Other Requirements

  • Must hold a valid passport.
  • Able to travel ~50%.
  • Located near an international airport; hybrid/remote flexibility available for strong candidates.
